trying to identify landcruiser fj 60 61 or 62

Post by rod baker »

hi all about 12 months ago i stripped out a 60 series saharra an started transfering all into an 83 silver seiries crooza
and i am having an electrical issue with the oil pressure gauge as soon as i hook up the battery it goes full scale .

now from memory i thought the the donor was a 1988 auto saharah high roof and was a fj 62 but when i try and find a wiring diagram they are efi and im buggered if i know

now i am only sure of the following i was an auto as i removed it and sold it it was a saharra as it said so on the side it had rear air con, fridge center consol ,wide flares electric windows n rusty sunroof and 4 square headlights.
i assume it was a petrol
does any one have any idea so i can track down the right
wiring i know normaly the wiring is near to where it goes and this hels alot but mine has an injected ford 5 liter in her so i am now makeing it all work finger crossed
thanks rod.

From my understanding the 60 series is the natural diesel, 61 has the 12ht and the 62 is a petrol.

don't go off the USA sites, their cruisers were different.

their Fj62's were EFI due to emmissions. ours are carb'd 3f's
