Gday,
Finally got my engineers cert for my 4 runner for the commodore motor with auto and high steer. I need to get a blue slip as well and i got failed on the blueslip for excessive steering wheel play. Tried to tighten using the adjust ing screw and it wont tighten up much. Admitted i am using the haynes workshop manaul and it is a JOKE! It tells me to loosen lock nut off and then tighten thread in the middle. Please anyone tall me if this is not the correct way to do it.
I am a bit pissed off about it because to get the engineers cert i had to put all the standard springs back in it with dropped hangers and the front springs are an absolute joke ( inverted big time) and the engineer passed it and said nothing about box or springs but the blue slip guy gets me on the steering box. Ahhhhhh.
Can i buy a reco steering box or a kit to do it and have someone do it?
Cheers
Dave
