T case dilemma II

I am again in two minds about which parts to use during assembly of my Tcase. The later model output shaft has more wear, but it has fine spline for the front drive. The wear on the later one is not too bad, but may make it difficult to get out of low range. Opinions please?
Thanks
Ben

stick with the fine spline late shaft and smooth the wear with a die grinder to ease the shifting issues.
From what I've seen of toy cases the outer ring that is shifted by the fork is a fairly loose fit on the inner spline (that is worn on yours) so I wouldnt worry about the lash, just smooth it all out and run with it.
my .02

Fine spline is on the cards. I am using the later model case too. The early model idler gears are slighly narrower overall, so I spent most of yesterday messing around with shims to get the end float within spec. Any idea which single piece cases are the best to use?

Bwahahaha! I have a splitcase but I dont want to put it in until I have the SOA done. The single piece rebuild is within budget. Moving the engine forward, new engine mounts, new drive shafts, crossmember and splitcase rebuild is not.
