I just bought a new UHF and was wondering if you can relocate the mic plug?

You cant relocate the mic plug per say, its built into the UHF, but you can buy extension leads for most models. Say you want to put the UHF in the roof console, and have the mic on the dash, an extension lead means you can run the cord across the console, down the A-pillar, thru the dash and out near where you have the mic clip.

Would you explain please?
My thinking would be that the only real imitation would be available chassis-space for another bulkhead fitting.

I assume you mean the UH015SX. Why do you want to extend the mic cable, the UH015 is designed to be able to conveniently place the small faceplate with mic separate from the more bulky main unit.

well it doesn't matter anymore as i have found a convenient spot for it go but i was still curious on the price of the extension cable.
