being a patrol man im not sure if this has been covered in depth on the landcruiser forum. yes i has a search and could find anything relevent..
my mate has a stupidy heavy 75/78 series 4.2turbo diesel leaf sprung troopy to take around oz towing a zodiac and have a posty bike hitched on the draw bar!
truck has a 2 inch odd mega heavy duty lift already running 33's!
now he has rang shane from suspension stuff and shane reccomended the boss airbgs due to the weight he has!
he has also rang arb and they have the poly air which cost $700 versus the boss which are $500!
my mate has also been trying to track down some airbags called Belo's?
could someone please help with the pro's and cons of each bag!
he plans on taking his truck through some rugged areas so he doesnt want to lose to much flex!
any help would be great

Go for the Firestone bellow type airbags by Airbag Man, they come with well made sturdy mounting brackets.

carrying 1000 kilo camper on the tray & towing 3 tonne of boat we did the same thing a few years back...
Polly Air Bellows - tough so wont puncture - psi from 20 unloaded to 100 the most i had them up to was 50psi -
There is NO chance of maintaining any flex what so ever they are fixed to the axle & chassis rail..... only thing i could think of doing is to fabricate some sort of cone or similar as a drop into out of system or an arm of some sort to relocate it after it flexes away from the bellow
I welded up 2 pieces of box section to get the height right with 650 kilo leafs and nitro shocks it worked great but zero flexability.
Some of these will also help

When it comes to airbag suspension the best bags on the market are Slam Specialties. They are rated to 200psi, they don't balloon out like other bags once filled with air, they have a built in bump stop and a thicker side wall.
I have been using slam bags in minitrucks and hot install for years with no drama's what so ever.
Jump onto the custom US sites and see what bags they are running it will be firestone, slams or conitech.
Most of the mounting kits are all the same so I would be just buying the brackets and then slapping some slams in there and
As for your question as belo bags. The belo is the what they call the middle section of the bag they are not a brand.
I hope that helps ya.
Cheers

so also recommend to my mate to get some wheel spaces as well!!?
troopies are one tall narrow ass truck!!
price is not much of an issue, and as it sounds like what ever one he chooses he will lose flex.. cheers for the help guys, i'l pass on this info and let him decide!
how much do wheel spaces cost?does shane/ hobzy's sell them?
cheers
