g16b got a head job and now wont start.

its got:
#spark
#injector pulse/fuel
#compression
#air

timing set top dead centre, thought it could be wrong the cam pulley has 2 marks-I-ignition, and E exhaust. the pulley also can go on in 2 different spots.
we had the timing set up with the E on top dead centre, which we thought was right.. but cause we couldnt figre out why it wouldnt start we swapped all the timing to set it up with the I on top dead centre...

still not working, what else?

The head was reconditioned with new valves, welded / shaved

Being 180 degrees out with the timing is a common problem for people working on this engine.

and it is an easy trapto fall into. from memory the E goes to the top, the crank can't realy go wrong but when its set up it is number 4 that is on its compression stroke not number 1 like you would expect. guess why this has stuck in my memory  :)

thanks guys, will try re-doing the timing again tomorrow, i should of specified that i had it set to number 1 top dead center....(i just assumed that its always 1) so i will try 4...

180deg out? i marked the dizzy before pulling it out... and put it back in the same place as the mark.. could it still be 180 out?

free spinning motor im assuming cause it still turned fine by hand and no weird noises when cranking....?

when u setb the timing u have number 1 piston up n on the mark n u have the pin in the front of of the cam to the top so the mark on the pully n on the tin cover line up. if this is so u line the dizzy up 2 number 4 not number 1 cause suzuki timing marks r back to front or rotate the motor 360 degrease n cam 180 degrease n line dizzy up as normal trust me n try
