What gauges to get for my turbo diesel cruiser? Obviously a boost gauge, and EGT gauge. But whats more important after that, Water Temp or Oil Temp??
Is it worth getting a oil cooler? Any other advice?

Oil pressure would be my next concern. Dont want a damaged oil feed buggering the turbo and engine.

Already have oil pressure in factory cluster. So noone would bother with water temp, or oil temp?

Don't trust the factory oil guage. Water temp next. That
is if you need any of them.

Oil temp
Oil pressure
Water temp
Water pressure
fuel pressure
fuel temperature
brake fluid temperature
exhaust gas temp
intake temps post and pre intercooler
manifold vacuum
battery voltage
battery current draw
Make sure you have at least 5 of each gauge, measuring at different parts of the applicable system!
Remember you can never have too many guages. The more you have the cooler you look!
While you're at it, add some lexus badges.

There's no need to be a tool about it.
A few of the vital guages are a must I think. Coolant temp, engine oil pressure should be minimum.

Always 1 isnt there oldmate...
I wouldnt bother with any, if I was going to leave it factory set up.
I have plans on intercooling/turbo upgrade etc... Just want to make sure I have the correct gauges. But im not going stupid with them.
Maybe I should have a poll of water temp vs oil temp...

I run 1 of the engine watchdog gauges for engine temp. It bolts on to what ever you want so doesn't need to be in the coolant. The alarm helps cos you can't be checking gauges in the heat of battle. Mine is bolted onto the cyl head as I figure thats usually the 1st casualty from overheating and I want to know what the temp of the metal is not the coolant or oil running through it.

i run a oil pressure gauge, and a oil cooler so i dont have to worry about temp. a coolant temp gauge, my temp gauge in my dash isnt even hooked up and it still moves, and a boost gauge..use mechanical gauges they are way more accurate then electrical.

just a oil pressure gauge and leave it at that
