You can get the genuine suzuki workshop manual from suziworld in melbourne (03 94598988) for $140. Pricey, but has everything in it you need.
Mine is fairly gutless below about 3000rpm, though doesnt have any specific flat spots. They just liked to be revved, though it will pull smoothly from as low as 500rpm (very weak though!) It used to miss a little down low but a change of plugs fixed it. The old ones looked fine but it made a noticable difference.

There are certainly a few minor flat spots in the motor below 3000rpm, shifting down a gear at 3000rpm up a steep hill usually doesn't end up good. Unless you have some red dash lights I would tend to suspect the fuel filter, as well mines certainly not keen on the local shell e10.

i have a very similar probem in mine. It shows no fault codes but feels gutless at 100 and has a definate flatspot under load at 2750. Have Had everything changed scanned and had the car dynoed. everything shows up spot on.

the only things that people have been able to come up with that i am currently investigating are

Possible coil pack failing under load as they are all individual
O2 sensor even though new can be slightly out of spec but show fine on tests

if anyone else can help or have more info on this model it would be greatly appreciated

if you have any success be greatly apeciated if you let me know. as i said in original post some air pipes at back of throttle body may be water pipe and may compress under load as they look like some kind of vaccum. would it be possable to get a photo sent so i can put back to proper spec
