FJ40 booster fitting... HELP!

hi guys.
i have an old 73 FJ40. as standared these came with very dodgy breaks without a booster. i have brought a booster (thanks the smoo) and am trying to fit it now.

problem: in order to keep alignment with the pedal and the booster the booster fouls up against the hyd clutch MC assy, and some bulkhead ribs (which i have cut away). i was thinking of making an adaptor plate to ofset the booster away from said offending clutch parts and re attaching the coupling on the pedal to one side.

is this the usual solution? has anyone done this before (must have!)
can anyone send me pics of how they did it?

cheers guys/gals

Rob

Was 73 m/c still single outlet or had they gone dual system by then?
With a single circuit a booster from one of your great OZ cars the Tasman or Kimberley would fit and be simple to pipe up.
You really wont get good cruiser brakes till you put hilux swivels and disc's on the front. This has it's own problems with the bigger bolt pattern steering arms and different taper tie rod ends to you.
Some friendly engineers will turn up a sleeve taper to reduce the hilux taper to take your rod end.
