Hi,
anyone know if you can get flares for an 02 ford courier (twin cab). my tyres stick out & I havn't seen any of those "one size fits all" ones that look much good. I don't know if there is a standard ford part available or something better aftermarket?
pics would be great
Cheers

Hi Ted, funny seeing you over here with the same prob i have :D

I am getting prices from ford tomorrow for my 03 model through a mate so will let you know what the oem ones will cost.

You still got the gasgas i sold to you?

edit: just noticed there's a set for a d/c on ebay if you search courier flares.

hey,
still got the gasser, how do you like your courier? now the head has been done it's a great car, and the bigger wheels make it so much better at highway speeds

Hi good to see the gasser is serving you well.
I've only had it for a few weeks but so far so good, at the moment i have some 235/75/15 bfg all terrains but looking at 31/10.5/15's which should hopefully make it better at 100k's, goes really well for a little 2.5l td!
My mate wont be back at work for a couple if weeks but will shoot you a pm once i get the price.
What tyres/wheels you got on yours, i tried some 15' sunnys on mine but they wont clear the rear drums...?

send me an email & I'll send you a pic (I don't know if I can do it on here)
I have continental cross 31 x 10.5 x15. they have a slightly bigger rolling dia. than all the other 31's I tried, real quiet on the road as well
Sun raisers fit fine I have the ROH ones but have had both Toyota and nissan one on (the nissan ones might have been the prob as they are set further in from memory) can get you the part No. if you like of the ones I have on there.

Look here for tips on posting pics. It isn't that difficult, just need to have it hosted externally.

Hi ted, bit of an update.
The flares from ford are stoooopid expensive, around $300 a corner unpainted!
I ended up picking up a set of pajero 15' alloys which fit no worries and some 31/10.5/15 LT tyres (cant think of the brand) that are ok, only thing so far is with the air con on it's gutless (might start looking to extract a bit more out of the little 2.5TD) and is very bouncy now if i'm empty on the tray...starting to think 30's might be a better compromise?

According to the tyre shop it's only '03+ newer couriers that struggle with the 15' sunnys as the drums are bigger than '02 older couriers, i'll send you an email though so i can see your beast!

Common problem with the genuine flares  Worked out that I could buy two sets of Maxtrax for the cost of the flares so ended fitting ARB rubber flares. Nothing special to look at but does the job and thats on 31 x 10.5 x 15 tyres.
