I am looking for a transmission to put behind a 3.5 in my next project. I have sourced the engine and in the future it may end up getting stroked. I will consider both 4 and 5 speed box's, no autos please. I am also after a series one 88in chassis and body without major mechanicals (chassis must be good, body can be average, truck cab would be the optimal). Willing to pay a pittance could be convinced to pay reasonable amount. Hope someone out their has some bits they would like to see go to a good home. Thanks.

Is all this for the one project?
You might have problems getting a series 1 registered with a 3.5, but you could put series 1 body on rangie chassis, eng and running gear.

Yep its all for the one project. The aim is a seriers one that will go anywhere and fast. Basically a V8 that will start out as 3.5 for rego, something different for suspension that i want to keep to myself at the moment and pretty large tyres, say around the 36in. I have thought about doing it on a rangie chassis but then it would be registered as a rangie with a body swap. Call me perdantic or just plain stupid but i want it registered as a series one. As long as the brakes and steering are upgraded to suit the 3.5 i think i will be able to register it. I will have a chat the the engineer that did my hybrid to make sure before i start building. Do you happen to know the differance in weight between the rangie chassis and a 88 in series one. Keeping the weight down is one of the primary goals with this project.

This will be a lot of hassle getting all the mods engineered - even in NSW.
But It sounds like an interesting project.
