G'day from a newbie in the US...A few quesions, please...

Hello down under. I just singed on here. I've been hanging out on the 4x4Wire board for about a year now. Have had a few Monteros but only recently got the bug for wheeling. I am in the midst of rebuilding an 87 (US is a year after you), doing a frame off with a 2.6L turbo motor swap. SO I first wanted to say hello and then ask a few questions if I may.
1) Bitsamissin: Seems like the first name is Frank. And I'm guessing the last name begins with Z? If this is so, thanks again for the help with Mark. I got my 2.85s two weeks ago now. I'm looking to put them in as I drop the drive train back into the project.
2) Regarding 2.85s: I am very new to this stuff. I have been reading the "It crawls" thread. Any other advice before I open up the case?
3) Breathers: There doesn't seem to be many 5-spds here with extended t-case breathers. My understanding is that the t-case breathes through the shift boot. What/how have you folks extended your 5-spd t-cases? (How did you seal the boot, and then extend?)
Ride On,
Bill
