patrol 24v

i was told over the weekend that a 12v patrol alternators actually have a 24v output on them aswell. Ive never heard of this and dont really belive it. has anyone else heard of this?

i dont believe it. the 24v patrols had a 24v alt, the 12v patrols have/had a 12v alt. i think its lies!
i dont know this for a fact tho

I'm with macca.
I'd be surprised if it's true. Somebody probably put 2 and 2 together, and came up with 5. Just because some Patrols had 12V systems and other Patrols had 24V systems doesn't mean they all used the same alternator.
My brother's 'Cruiser runs on diesel, and I know a bloke who runs his on petrol - is that a fancy motor, or what?

24V patrols 24v alt. with 12 convertor under dash for inst.
