Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey guys i got a 99 gu ute td 4.2 running 10 psi boost
its breaking up around 1700rpms cough and splutters blows smoke misses cant work out what it is
have changed fuel filter and blew out the lines but has done nothing

just wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be

white smoke? mainly when cold? injector pump i believe.

There is a gauze strainer in the fuel pump under the inlet port. Gets blocked up and starved the pump of fuel, which then messes with the timing, etc.

Pull the gauze thimble out and give it a clean.
