I'm just seeing what you guys think of the factory rear locker that is on the gq ti's. Have you had any problems with yours when pushing it hard on the beach, mud or sand? I am thinking of upgrading and i can get a complete diff for less than half price of an air locker but if there rubbish i'll spend the extra $$$.

only issue i have had with mine is that the vaccum lines pull off at flex limits, but this was fixed with longer lines, they are good little units when they work right, sometimes the solenoids can shit themselves but you can get aftermarket ones for around 150 bucks..do a search on here for factory lockers and you will get alot of info.

Nothing wrong with them at all, but they are a bit vulnerable to death by bashing, so a protective plate is a very good idea.

x2 definatly fab or get fabbed a protective cage around the actuator at the rear of the diff. The factory solanoids are not great either but this is easily fixed with an after market dual air solanoid and a some creative wiring, check the bible for writeups and part numbers.

Have a look at this link on aftermarket solenoids. I have done this swap & they work well.

Don't use in these situations as it only digs the pig in deeper. I use it only when going through cross axle stuff and wheels come off the ground. Got an auto lokka up front working all the time though.

I do the aftermarket solenoids all fitted up for hoses and with an s/s mounting bracket for $170. They are a worthwhile replacement if your factory solenoids die and they work faster then the factory ones.

I've got through soft sand and mud with the rear locker on where I didnt with it off. It's only when your'e turning that the inside wheel starts to dig.
