Hey all,
Got any ideas on front upper shock mounts for my 61.
Sprung over, just got my new spring packs the other day, EFS made me up a set of flexy packs with the grommets between each leaf.
I was lookin at my mates shorty 40 and liked the standard shock mounts on. Want to be able to get a longer shock and have more up travel.
Has anyone used Snake Racing shock hoops and if so what do you think of them?????
Cheers folk.

Hey Brendan, you still about Ulmarra I see!
I'd use shock hoops or the F truck style ones. Ive got some old ones on an 80s chassis in the paddock if they are any good to ya.
Cheers,
Troy. R.

Hey all, sorry i havnt been online for a few days, ive been a bit under the weather.
I got dog shot from behind leaving work on saturday night and had my head used as a soccer ball.
Whats the world comin to, 3 guys about 20 year old. You wouldnt think they needed to hit me from behind. But thats how they fight these days 3 on 1 apparently. What ever happened to good old 1 on 1 and shake hands at the end. Problem solved. All i can say is Dogs fight in packs and what goes around comes around.
Anyways back to the subject, i havnt seen the F-truck mounts, ill have a look at them. Havnt had much to do with f trucks.
What model truck or are they the same, obviously leaf sprung front
Thanks guys.

Pictures of F-Truck Mount, definetly the way to go for a more stock look.
Installed on my 40.
Next to a standard 40 series mount.
Nobody sells/imports these into australia.
cracka_d off this forum imported a heap a few years ago, and I got mine through him. I think he did have 1 last pair left, so you could try PM'ing him to see. If not, ring a ford dealer in USA and ask for the part no. shown in my first pic, they should charge you around $13US ea. Heres a larger link to it.

No worries.
Nothing much has been happening to the 40 for a while now, any spare $$ have been going into the lux. Hopefully the first half of next year see's a lot of progress on the 40 but.

Yeah i hear ya.
Its hard when you have a new toy to play with.
I have a v8 calais in the shed and the old cruiser got neglected for a while.
Got a bit excited this year and sprung the old girl over and put a new 3 inch exhaust and bought some 10 inch rims and 37s. That was my hard earnt gone for the year
Now its sitting in the back yard with a blown auto, so im all keen again to finish it off, cant drive it might aswell finish it!!
