Bruce,

The post i can recall had a few photos in it that Guts (i think) posted up of his winch controller box with some wires attached in all the right spots to make it work.

If it helps - i have one of these things wired up on my winch too - you're more than welcome to have a look and take some photos of it if you like (sorry - i don't have a digital camera).

Cheers.

if you open you winch solenoid box you will see the same thing as in the diagrams, wire colors etc, get a mate that is good with electronic to give you a hand, if no there is a place in the us that makes the setup ready to install into your cab

Here's the post i was talking about...

evidently i've built it up to be the best thread ever - but alas - it's just how to install the winch, not how to wire it up to the dash.

the warn xd9000i diagram is incorrect...

the power switch on the left should have power coming into the switch in the "off" postion and going out to the control switch "B" from the "on" position....not as indicated

true but if you want to get technical it dosnt matter if you are using a spst switch, as long as you make a 12 circuit when the swtich is thrown , it dosnt really matter what way you wire it into the switch

provided there is no on/off markings

Bruce, isn't this the 2nd most asked question in the universe? (other than how to lift a GQ!)
I'm surprised you couldn't find it in a search. You did try the search button right? ;)

Just wire it as per the 3rd pic, thats correct for all 5 pins
