just chasing some info about putting a 24v alternator in my td42t gu to run my winch. any different models or part no.s would be good. also is it possible to squeeze in without out removing the aircon?

yes you can have both. On a TD42 it will fit in the same spot as they do in a GQ. Its possible to mount it above the std ALT. Only issue is you need to run the belt around the radiator hose.

If its a comp truck we do it by relocating the power steering pump lower and fitting the 24v alternator above to keep it out of the mud, it also allows you to move belts around and run the power steer pump on the larger A/C pulley on the crank (if you don't have A/C) this gives more assist at low speeds.
