Anyone know the weight of a TD42? Either with or without accessories.
I had a quick search and googled but no luck
Nissan manual doesnt help either
I am trying to figure out if my Stupidcheap Auto engine crane (500kgs max arm extended) can lift mine without dropping the bugger.

Cool bananas, thanks for that.
Now all I have to do is convert the Chinese crane kilos into good old Aussie kilos......
I knew the engines were fairly hefty as the crane is groaning a bit when lifting it off the ground. Just didnt want to get it up nice and high over the front mount intercooler and have it do a swan dive
Cheers

you can cheat by putting 2 trolley jacks under it and taking wheels off. put the jaks under chassis behind wheels otherwise crane hits the jacks and chock the rear wheels.Wish I had coils wrote:i just lifted my motor out and theres no way i would have enough height to get it over the front, I just went block and tackle.
The engine crane lifts the motor no worries when motors out.
only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..
td42 weight
Yes I had the same thoughts about removing the tyres, but the crane had enough height as I shortened the chain on the crane hook and used my recovery chain real short and it made it over the front no worries ( 4" lift and 2" body on 32" tyres)
It was good having the tyres on the car as well as I rolled the car under the engine, rather than trying to move the crane with the engine up at max height...
