work out your amp draw then check your alt .. if it make less than your total draw your still up shit creek.

Your best bet would be check 4wd monthly mag at their issue #141 and check out the system u want it has all the info you need.
Then contact your auto sparky and see what he charges an hr, you would prob be looking at 4-500 for a good system incl. installation.
Of course you could get it cheaper or deerer its up to you.

And why so many spotties?
One set of HID lights will do the work of 6 halogens.
Mine are top gear.
Even one set of XGT's will light the road up well, 2 sets and you will be tanning the road.
Too much amp draw all the time will smoke your alternator and battery, not worth it.

i was thinking about hid's..on our transporter we hav 2 lights with hid kits that are insanely bright..my mate had 2 lightforce on his bullbar with hid kits and my other mate has standard lights and they are so much better then the hid kits on the lightforce.

Stock lights are better than HID kitted Lightforce? Pull the other one...
Have upgraded both 170 Strikers and XGTs to 55W HID kits and there is no comparison. HIDs are brilliant, stock Lightforce merely okay.

Most will use the 2nd battery just for your fridge and anything else you run when the vehicle is not running.
Normally your lights etc will run off your main battery.
