Suzukis have an anti tamper mixture screw so i think old mate who you bought it off might be having a bit of a lend of you.
By the way you dont want the car to run rich when running it in as it washes your bores and does cylinder bore damage :(

can't u take the anti-tamper cap off and get to the screw? i think a mate did that recently... it's on the side of the carby near the rocker cover

maybe its different on coilys. its part of your standard tune up proceedure I think the manual talks about it. your ment to ajust it to the fastest idle then ajust your idle to spec then do them both again. or something like that.

thats what i thought
i think its got the anti sumthin screw but i could proberly turn it.
its sortof a semi circle head.
the recon was professionally done and put it and tested by the guy that did it. so i dunno whats doin.
should i try ajust it or what
i dont want to be wasting peto

the mixture screw only adjust the idle mixture. you have to change jets to adjust the mixture at any other revs

Yes ,thats why I suspect his got engine problems (oil related), but he hasen't really said what its doing ,It sounds like the guy who sold it may have said he's running it rich to cover up for the smokey engine ,, why else would he say such a thing ??? sounds fishyyyy to me

so where is the anti tamper idle screw on a 1.3? mine is also smelling a bit fuely and plugs are covered in black soot from running rich at idle. also how do you get to jets on carb if ya WANNA CHANGE THEM?
?
