Wont make good low down torque without using aftermarket computer, and will need a good intercooler, and will need slight decompress/radius all exposed edges etc, to help with detonation if running more than 6 psi.
I have a CAPA unit on my 4.5 80. [Jan 4x4 action I believe]
I have modded my auto and torque convertor so a slightly higher stall to get on boost quicker, but more efficient design so it drives like it doesnt have a higher stall once moving.
I also run lower low range gears, and 4.56 Nitro gears in the diffs on 37's.
