Transfer Question

Alright I have a HZJ 79 series transfer case that I'm putting into the 80 with a 6ltr
I just went to start assembeling the tc to the adaptor & its not even close
It is a part time TC out of a 12/99 HZJ 79 series
Can anyone enlighten me have I got the wrong adaptor or TC ??
