I am wanting to convert my GQ from TB-42 auto to put my 351 clevo in, dose anyone know who makes an adaptor kit to suit the oridginal GQ auto box, and What else is needed to do the conversion. I already have the 351 fitted into a TE cortina, so it has the rear sump and extended oil pick-up, it runs on straight LPG, with a home made duel throotle bodied set-up on it. currently running 8s over the 1/8th mile. So i am thinking of running it with all the current LPG set-up as it is tried and tested. any advice would be very helpfull.

Ok, thanks 4 that, I looked in Dellows cataloge and it did'nt say anything about a conversion 4 the automatic box only the manual. But I will give them a call and see. Thanks again.
Jeff.

hey mate, how are ya,, ive cut & pasted this a few times thought it might help?
the cleveland is a really tight fit on the firewall, i had to belt back the firewall 2 clear the heads, i used a kit from dellow automotive in sydney 0297744419, it comes with belhousing, engine mounts that i kept breaking so ended up using bronco/ f100 mounts!! & a nissan clutch plate, & spickit bush, it cost me $1045 to get it down to melbourne..
i just used standard v8 manifolds but is very tight on the firewall.
with the cable i got it made up longer & 2 suit the holley carbie.
for the cooling system i used EL falcon twin thermos with a XE V8 3' core radiator which keeps it cool enough,
deffinatly need a bronco 4wd v8 sump & pick up, i tried to get away with the standard but i sqashed da pick up 4wding & seized da first engine, so do it straight away coz it was very costly,,, the conversion was a pain in the ass to do but they do go really well, dellow make it sound very easy but there full of shit haha,,,
well after saying that i have now got a 454 BB chev in mine & my brother has used my old clevo conversoin,!!
JUST MAKE SURE you check your gearbox shaft lenth if you go manual as you might have to grind it down as it can put pressure on the crank causing it to fk up bearings, i found out the hard way
anyway i hope its some kind of help to you & if u have more questions just send a msg,, wish u luck , dont worry its well worth it,, jess

Yeah the 351c into a GQ is not the easiest engine conversion. But I'm a big fan of the 351 so thats why I converted mine.
Since I got it all sorted out I've been very happy with it.

it may be worth looking at running a ford auto as it will suit the power curve of the motor and i would think be stronger and easier to get to work together

There are no adapters readily available of the shelf for ford auto to patrol transfer.
