Hi, ive got a SD33Td MK patrol, with a slight bend in the front diff.*cough* about 4-8 degrees *cough* A few years ago, i sorted another front diff, disc to disc though from a petty MQ, so its got different dif ratio's...

anyways, just wondering if i can just swap out the diff center and then rebolt the whole (new-ish) diff back under the car?

or is the whole swamozzle different? ive had a look on the outside and the housing seems identicle.

is there any special tools id need to swap the diff center? or just me handy socket set :)

I wouldnt .....

but I would swap the pinion aswell and then you'd have a winner :D

NB:
may need the crown re-shimmed to suit.... bit of an experts job ;)

Damm, its never as easy as you want it to be :)

Thanks V8patrol, your always a wealth of info. :)

how much you recon someone would charge to re-shimm the crownwheel? (iam sooo not looking to spend much cash) my little troll is already sucking up a bit of cash from the repaint iam doing to her.
