has anyone else had any dramas with a flat spot on a td42 in gq non turbo, standard, just recently its been a bit down on power just struggling all the time and when under full throttle say 2nd gear rev from 1000 to 4000 at about 3200 sort of skips a beat or two then carries on, other times its normal and perky. It takes about 4.5second to rev from 1000 to 4000 in second gear and getting about 600km per tank, 33in tyres standard gearing. One day it go up mout vic pass easy in third around 3000, other days is back to second with same load and tyres, just sort of feels like retarded ingnition timing on my old petrol
cheers

probably fuel blockage at pump. pull off top where fuel inlet is and clean filter.

to easy

gday

i think my situation was simular but little different.. the more you rev it the more it didnt want to keep going up the rev range (3k plus). Anyway i looked for the filter from other posts and nothing in there (worth checking), i fitted an electric lift pump. Now it revs right through... big improvment, still blows no smoke at all :D oh well

think it would be this. chuck a low pressure (think mines a ~2-7psi - cant recall the brand but can check if needed) lift pump inline back near your tank. Prob just means the injector pump is starting to get bit tired. heaps of life with a lift pump tho...

had a look there is no filter at banjo bolt for inlet there is a small basket filter for the drain back, cleaned that one, was clogged a bit but havent driven yet, the pump was re coed last year along with injectors has a ll new rubber hoses from tank to pump and back new main filter
