What I have is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 1993 and earlier which should be the firing order but I am not sure if this is right by the way the leads were set up on the dizzy. 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 1994 and later does not seem to be right either. Firing orders above were taken out of Haynes Ford pickups and Broncos book 5.0 windsors.
I am pretty sure EB falcons where built upto 1993. Any help would be appreciated.

1.3.7.2.6.5.4.8 is right. Pretty sure thats the right order for all the falcon v8s at least up to AU.

I just did one of these and there are two different orders.
5.0 = 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
5.0 HO = 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Keep in mind how Ford numbered the cyls. They go 1-4 down the RH bank, then 5-8 down the LH bank. Not alternating left to right like other motors.

Oh ok, I thought the HO had the same motor but with a blower on it (amongst other changes like sports seats, body kit and other stuff)?

All our 5.0 1993 on Falcon efi's are 13726548.

Its due to the camshaft, most aftermarket camshafts have the 351w firing order so if you change cams you often have to change firing order to match.

I've got 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 in my Ellery's workshop manual.
IIRC, the 302W fitted with EEC-IV (from around 1989 in US) were classed as HO (nothing to do with superchargers unfortunately), up to the late 1990's when they changed to the Explorer/GT setups. The "HO" part is just a label too, it has no reference back to the piss-poor performance of the engines. In stock form anyway...
