How long is a piece of string??

There are many comps, with many classes, with different regulations, you need to come a bit more specific.

B hoop has to be 1 3/4 inch by .120 inch TUBE minimum
rest has to be 1 1/2 inch by .120 inch TUBE minimum

CCDA cage specs or cams online has actual specs and some design ideas too.

Are you sure that's not 1 3/4" X .102" (2.6mm) not .120" (3mm ish). All the tubing we've been asked for is for is the .102" wall thickness.

yeah it is, my bad, im used to the US specs where everything is .120". they also HAVE to use 2" tube on heavier vehicles i.e. patrols.

US cages imo are better than what we do here, they have more experience with fast hard crashes and have developed there stuff a bit better. have a look on RDC or where ever at some 1450 or jeepspeed trucks. they have pretty similar setups to aus but alot beefier for ideas. remember that a beef cage is gonna be strong and stop you getting hurt but it probably wont be road legal.
