Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi, looking for some advice. I have a Factory turbo diesel 60 that has been a fantastic truck however the body has quite a bit of rust and its time to upgrade. I only have a max 30k to spend. I use the truck as my daily driver about 20km each way, plus it tows my 1.5t boat and trailer locally and some times up to 1000km on holidays. I do a air bit of beach driving as well on Straddie and Frazer.

I do not want an IFS truck so I either get a turbo diesel 80 a 100series standard diesel or 100 series petrof with lpg. I would need to include all accessories in the 30k price so a TD80 is my front runner at the moment as I would be looking for something with 33"s 2"lift winch bar, winch, swing away tyre carrier and diff locks if possible.

Any thoughts?

Try and find a later model TD 80 with the 1HDFT engine.
Coming from a 60 with the 12HT you'll shit yourself at how much fuel a petrol 80 will use and if you run LPG then double your normal service costs to have valve adjusted far more frequently.
The 1HDT is still a good option if you find one at a good price but the 1HDFT is far superior.

I really like the 12HT in the 60 and its in good condition. I suspect I would get next to nothing for the 60 as it has a fair bit of rust and since the motor and gearbox are in such good condition is there anything that I could swap it into?

This has everything you want/need but just a little over you price.

Find a 60 sharaha with shagged engine and drop it in.

You will most likely get more money if you wreck the car. Sell the engine, gearbox, diff's and anything else you can in the interior then drag the rest to sims and cash in the body.

I have always liked the 80's. Get a late model in good nick and it will serve you well. Just make sure it's check well before purchase.

The 12HT is an awesome engine. You'll probably get more for the engine than the complete car.
You could pickup a cheap 60 body and rebuild your 60 with plenty of change from your 30k.
But the move to a later model coil sprung wagon is enticing!

98lux, seen that 80 and she would look great in my driveway however 30k is my absolute max so its a bit out of my price range. By the look of it most say wreck the 60 and look for a TD 80.
