Outer Limits 4x4 Board

This is my Toyota bar I need to lighten the front so im thinking some of it needs to go,
Im thinking from the Horizontal bars up and just above the lights
Question is is it going to make it excessively weak

ps struth was going to make me one but never happened

If you remove the bars from the edges it will weaken the bar a far bit, I did it to a bar nearly the same as that years ago and first rock it hit/scraped on bent it. Unless you strenght the inside were you cant see it will weaken it

So if i take out this bit
Will i still have to brace the outer ends

thats alot of work for stuff all weight saving.

Why are you trying to trim weight?
