Might seem like a silly question, but I have always used the green catrol coolant, x2 tins for my patrol.

After reading something the other day, should I be using the Red coolant for the alloy radiator in my GU td42t?

My late model GQ with alloy radiator came factory with green. I went PWR rad and run green no probs for 5 years now

You cant mix the two types or you get thick mud that blocks your system up

Coolant wont keep your car cool. In fact any coolant makes the heat transfer worse due to the silicons etc in the coolant it acts like an insulator.
Best off running the mix at the min recommendation by the manufacturer for max cooling.
Coolant only raises the boiling point of water, lower the freezing point of water, has corrosion inhibitors and lubricants for the pump
