GQ Carby sticking/ resulting in head rebuild

Hi guys,
Just an easy heads up for those who don't know, in a gq 4.2l carby there is an aluminum spacer to one side under the carby inside the manifold it is like an airflow sleeve. This is able to dislodge an elongate and cause the butterfly to stick open and your car is then full noise beyond the red line, ( interesting when your trying to drive down a dirt road).
The bigger issue is this spacer/ airflow sleeve heap of shit is able to disloge and rattle about in the manifold slowly break up and sit on the valve seats causing the valves not to shut properly. Either way you don't want it in your head and angine. This is what haoppened to a mate of mine resulting in a new head and $2000 less in the pocket.
I didn't listen when he said remove until it blocked the butterfly hopefully i've gotten away with it however there is only half of this sleeve left so where the other half is i dunno.
