Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hey all

Anyone had fuel almost pour out the filler cap before? I topped the tank off last night and have driven about 5km since, and we just smelt fuel out the back and went out the front to see about 500ml of fuel on the ground and more still dripping out the cap... i then opened the filler cap and started the engine to see if it'd get sucked down but it actually got worse! so i shut it off and hosed down the car n tyre to get fuel off, and hosed the tank incase it was hot and causing the leak.

But yeh - any thoughts? seems to have stopped now i've hosed the tank down though.

Probably got hot and because it was over full it expanded out. Never had it happen before but i've heard about it. If your going to completely fill the tank you need to be just about to go on a big drive otherwise it could expand and flow out.
Is your expansion tank still hooked up?

well, after the first click at the servo i squeezed another 2L or so in and it didnt top off out the filler, so i might have filled the expansion tank by accident =) haha the pump at the servo was very slow.
