For where the snorkel goes through the gaurd you can just use some fuel or similar hose and slice it striight down the midlle.

Exhaust places sell a coated steel cant remeber what it was called but it dosent rust,If your painting forget stainless
I used a eatch paint which sticks to tough surfaces.
I have a modified 2lt and run 2 -1/2inch pipe, because its not forward facing I put a colder thermostate in because the temp increased a bit

go 4 inch, everything else looks stupid in my opinion, 3 inch always looks just too small.
i used aluminised steel on my old patrol, 2 metres cost less than $100 from memory, i used black rubber bends (45* was $35, 90* was $30 i think) used some good quality stainless hose clamps and got pinch weld from clark rubber for around the panel where the snorkel goes through which cost 3 dollars.
i got a quote for mandrel bent stainless and pre fab bends in stainless and both were around $450/$500

QLD Desiel spares are the best place to go for rubber bends and quality hose clamps to suit. They will also be able to sell you a length of 3" or 4" tube you need.

1 really good reson to use rubber bends.
when you rub your snorkel up agains a tree you only have to replace the part that got squashed not the whole lot.
