who's got the biggest??

does anyone know what the largest rim and tyre combo are that will pass engineering on a lux without modifications???

i have spoken to an eng. and he said 3' over standard
3' over standed most of the earil ones are 29x9.5, would make that 32x11.5
But real who cares

one engineer will allow one mod, another wont.

Scott the largest tyre you can legaly run on a hilux in QLD is a 31x10.5x15. Not a 32.

But Ruff, some Hiluxes came from factory with 31's on them. Mine did.
You couldnt then argue that thats standard so you could get 34's by the 3 inch rule?

No Hilux ever had a 33 fitted from the factory.
And Tonka there is no 3inch rule in QLD.

Some of you guys may have heard of someone buying a new hilux with 31's, these are not factory. The Toyota sale yard would have put them on to appeal to the young hard-core 4 wheeler. Common practice.
I have seen actual Toyota dealers put 33's on to make it stand out, and yes they would be selling an illigal car!

What about the ones with those ugly chromed rims. I am sure they had 265/75's on em .. may not be a 31 but they are bloody close ..
