I wouldn't.

Why do you want to get rid of it.

because of lift im going for. it will be silly to have to make up some sort of spacer to get it back to factory specs

If you're going to ditch it, replace it within an adjustable proportioning valve. Without one, you'll be locking the rear up a lot. You just need to remove the return line from the rear.

It's not real hard to make an extension bracket for it that lifts it the same amount as the suspension gets lifted.

Your braking system has been designed to use the prop' valve, why risk the possible consequences of having the system unbalanced for the sake of one simple extension bracket?

Cheers

What lift are you aiming for, and what do you hope to achieve with the said lift?

To be honest you can get rid of it but its not the best idea the reason its connected to your diff is so when the weight shifts to the front it releases pressure to the rear of the 4wd so you dont lock up and if the rears squatting due to weight it can apply more pressure to help stop so even the adjustable ones dont work properly but each to their own.

Just make it work, its not hard, its one pissant bracket and some adjustment.

Cutting corners never works out cheaper, trust me i was king of it haha.

how are you getting 5 inch's of lift cause most people over estimate their lift.

And just make up a bracket the same length you lift you chassis from your diff its a lot simpler than removing the whole thing!

They apply more braking to the rear as more load is placed in the rear, or alternatively, they apply less braking to the rear when unloaded to avoid rear wheel lock up.

cheers
