my rear main is leaking... AGAIN

i changed it and within 2 days it was leaking just as bad as it was before and i hadnt been offroad. Anybody got any idea as to why it would start leaking again so quickly? next time i get the box off ill check for endfloat in the crank but has anybody else run into this problem?

cheers

i cant remember but it a press in axle seal style on them, are you sure the surface isnt scored or ya knockin it in too far? Maybe its got some vibe in the crank, causing it to flog it out...?

its just a rubber ring sortof with a spring to tighten it over the crank. hasnt got the steel bit like the axle seals do

i checked the surface and it was actually mint. Which was very unexpected given the condition of all the axles etc. the theory at the moment is that pressure mustv built up and pushed it out.

its not turboed though but i really cbf taking to box off again without being sure i got it right..

if it has poped out go to toyota and get a genuine one as i have had soem aftermarket seals pop out even tho they were fitted correctly that why on my own car i stick with genuine seals for these kinds of things
