ive tryed searching but couldnt find anything so here goes
ok so i have a mate with way to much time on his hands. he wants to put a 95 model 2wd dual cab hilux on a 93 single cab 4x4 chassis. reason being he can get a cheap 4x4 with all new running gear that has bad panel damage and he has a dual cab already in pretty good nic. the way i understand it is the tray mounts for the single cab will be the new back body mounts? any ideas? the guy he is planning on buying it off lives out of town so we cant get the two cars together to do any measuring, he works at an auto shop and has run a few part numbers and said everything is the same eg. windows, front doors, lights ect so i dont see how this wouldnt work. they seem to be pretty much the same car,
has anyone tryed this?
any help would be appreciated
thanks

yea it will work but you will have to chop some of the rear cab mounts from the dual cabs chassi and atach to the single cabs chassis

then its just a matter of triming a small piece of inner guard to clear the nut on the steering box and of cause make the gear stick hole bigger

The single cab tanks have a bit that goes higher behind the cab increasing the capacity. They wont fit under the floor of a dual cab without massive body lift.
