youll need it. get a clutch master from a 4.2 petrol or diesel. also make sure you have the bigger slave cylinder. I forget the size of it but there is a 5/8th and amd 7/16th i think

I just did that conversion and went for the vacuum assist clutch. Nice to use.
You will need the following to do the whole job:
Master cyl PBR JB1979 or JB1774 (same cyl but different reservoir - both fit) $100
Slave cylinder JB 4198 or JB4257 ( exactly the same part) $50
Vacuum booster unit (make sure you set the rod lengths before the install) $50
Steel pipe from master to slave cyl $40
Flexible hose from steel pipe to slave cyl Nissan part -30855-01J10 $50
Vacuum hose piece to clutch vac unit $20
I used the slave cyl pushrod from the 2.8
I just did this conversion on my GQ. If you need any more info on anything else ask away

Forgot to mention that the petrol and diesel vac boosters setup are exactly the same. Makes shopping a bit easier
