isnt the valve adjustment just a feeler guage and a screwdriver?

The 16v is quite difficult compared to a 1.3 the measurement can be done off the camshaft with feeler gauges and the intake side is a major pain as its kind of underneath the cam. I wouldnt reccomend it if you dont know what your doing definately not as easy as the 1.3

not at all =) haha but it is just using the feeler guage on 1 and 3, then turn the engine and do 2 and 4. But like MrRocky says - ones easy, the other side is fiddly.

Made a tool to do the job , get a 10mm deep reach socket and weld a bar to it . Try and get a 3/8 dr deep reach so a bigger screwdriver can go down the middle of it .
The issue is the lock nuts are well recesesed and you can't get a spanner on them . With the "tool" you can crack the lock nut and then slid a blade screwdriver down the middle and adjuct the clearance and then hold the spot while you do up the lock nut .
Will take a pic shortly as it will make more sence .
Done it with and without the socket and its way easier with it , but can be done with a ring spanner .
Cheers

Here is a pic of what I made .
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg27 ... 080164.jpg . Can't direct post pic's .
When using it the screwdriver does not go all the way through but you get the idea . At a push you may get away with a set of vicegrip's on the end of the deep reach socket .
Have to say now I use it more than the 10mm ring spanner for all jobs not just the valves .
Cheers
