GQ turning circle

Post by hiluxmad »

what causes the bad turning circle in the gq LWB?
is it the steering box or the knuckles?
using the diffs out of a GQ in my hilux conversion and want to try to eliminate the crap turning circle of the GQs
Keep it shiny side up!
Now doing general fab work and painting
trays, trailers, engine swaps on request, some tube work, silo section sliders, rust repairs, ute chops etc

i was more asking if the limitations are in the steering box or the diff itself ie steering knuckles and as i am putting them into a hilux would an IFS hilux steering box instead of a GQ one make the tuning circle better( if the limitations are in the box) or have no effect(limitations are in the knuckles)
would swaping to MQ/MK hubs(poormans histeer :D ) have any effect on turning circle?

limitation at the knuckles. Any tighter and you'll have CV issues.

Wheelbase will play a big part in it. You will get a better turning circle the shorter you go.
