Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Can any one help with this problem on a Pajero. Its a 3.0L V6 with a fairly dramatic air con leak, bad enough you can see AC oil welling up. Images show where the leak comes from, It looks like a temperature or pressure sensor of some kind.

Is this a part that can be removed, cleaned and re-sealed (ie new o-rings). Or is it a replaceable part or a replace the whole compressor job?

The design (with that hold-down tab) suggests that it is designed for replaceability.

Having said that it does look like a very generic scroll type compressor which wouldn't be too hard to get a replacement for.
