had a quik search but to no avail.
Is it possible to fit an auto out of a tb42 (not sure if it is out of inj or carby or if they are even different) into a td42. If so what else needs to be done? have full conversion inc box,shifter,linkages,t/shafts,xmember. Do I need a comp to run it or to lock up converter.?
Dont know to much about autos sorry.

Yep the tb42 auto bellhousing will bolt up to the td42 motor, not sure about the rest though.

Hey mate, the TD42 flexplate and adapter has 7 bolts whereas the TB 42 has 6 so you need a TD 42 flexplate and adapter kit. You can get manual valve bodies for GQ patrols which does away with all computers and electronic parts which makes it full manual shift
