whats the difference in hole centers between the two anyone got any pics with measurements?
putting gq diffs under my lux and like the mounting of the 80 arms better.
ie eye instead of pin at the chassis end.

just wondering if its worth the effort of cutting off the gq brackets diff and tacked on to chassis and starting again and having to set up castor etc..
any help would be much appreciated

Not sure about the hole difference but the 80,s will give you better flex. Might even be able to mount them on top of your diff.

the actual bolt holes in the 80 series bushes are 18mm while the GQ/U are 16mm.

the arms are completely different design and un comparable really, i tried but they are so different that they just dont work on each other.

I don't like the look of GQ arms at all. Pin or not - ever seen a patrol with stock arms flexing in the front? Hmm, me neither.

I've chosen Rover arms for my project. They go nicely above the axle, have nice soft bushes, and are readily available.

I think they are the longest and straightest of the "stock" arms too.

Late Discovery arms are even better from what I have seen but are harder to get and less convenient to mount because of the big bush on the chassis end rather than the pin.
