as the title says, i have a discovery and currently has a 2 in sus lift 2 inch body and 35 simex. the guards are cut out inline with the inner horizontal gaurd. it seem i have alot of room in there about 230mm in each corner. Was thinking about going back to standard hight for a bit more stability. would i encounter any problems doing so apart from extending the bump stops? I am buying new gear anyways so thats also part of the reason.
thanks, drew

Drew, my rangie runs a 40mm bodylift and I get a bit of rubbing at full articulation on the rear arches running 35 simex . I have never heard it rub you can just see the marks.
So to the bodylift I would leave it in, and drop your springs back down a bit this will return your suspension geometry to standard. This will help with staight line stability
You could also look at tightening up the front suspension with different springs rates, shock valving and sway bar combinations as most of the weight is over the front axle and they tend to pivot from there.
If you really want to remove the bodylift you will need to extend bumpstops but then you are limiting wheel travel without shock mount modifications or new shocks.

thanks for the reply, sorry i made not have made it very clear. i am leaving the body lift just taking the sus lift out. well thats the plan anyways. so you have no sus lift?

My spring lift is about 40mm with rotated swivels to reset steering castor, stiffer front springs for two batteries and highmount, firmer valved shocks and modded bar work for clearance. I would still like to remove some body roll from it, possibly fitting an anti roll bar.
