Hilux seized shackle pin

In the process of changing front leaf springs on my sons LN65.

Struck a problem- the rear shackle pins are seized in the mounts where they go thru the chassis rails- bugger!

The front ones were very hard to get out due to rust on the pins so I suspect the rears are stuck for the same reason. It has nolathane bushes which doesn't make it any easier due to very little give in them.

The rear pins won't even budge when hit with a lump hammer. Also tried a bit of heat.

Got them soaking with Inox and plan to keep hitting them with Inox or Rost Off and give them another belt next week.

Meanwhile, anyone had the same problem and any success? They're in a mongrel spot to get a decent swing at them or to get a decent lever on them.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

I gave the outer side of the pin a big hit with the welder to heat it up and melted the bushes enough to bash em out.

Just keep in mind when you heat an object to remove it from whatever housing, you need to get it out while it's hot, or it's going to be jammed in even tighter. In most circumstances.
