took my front shocks off at one end today and realized that they only travel around 1-2 inches from where they are standing still on flat turf.
I am running Monroe gas shocks but i want to know whether i am likely to get more articulation out of it with longer shocks?
Anyone know of types, serial no.s for longer shocks i could use?

easiest way to find out if you will gain more travel by fitting longer shocks is to cycle your suspension...drive your truck up a ramp with the shocks in and note how far up you can travel with all 4 tyres on the deck...then take your shocks out and repeat the process...note how far you get this time around...this will tell you if you will gain more travel.
But keep in mind there could be more mods involved than just fitting longer shocks...you may have to move the shock mounts...longer brake lines may be required...a recent 4wd Monthly mag had a full detail article on cycling suspension. Have a look out for it.

80 series front shockers will fit in and give u heaps more travel but your springs will fall out, u will need bigger springs or need to fix them in.
