Are 2.8 GQ and 2.8 GU gearbox's interchangeable???

i know that when i put the 4.2GU box in my GQ the gear levers were a bit further back on the box, is this the same case with the 2.8?? and is this the only thing different??
any help would be great

Yep, it's only the sticks as far as i've been told.
I should of bought a GU 2.8 box for mine when i had the chance

The input shaft is 25 mm longer on the Gu and the Gu has a 25mm spacer on the the bell housing apart from that they are the same, just fitted a gu one to mine and found out the hard way...
