Hi Guys,

i have heard that the Diff's in range rovers can fit and run in GQ'.......can anyone confirm these rumours..if so can you share you infinite wisdom.

any feedback would be welcome.

P.S. I have found a 1973 Range Rover with ARB air lockers going cheap and wondering if they will fit my 88 GQ ?

Cheers

lol that would be one for the books.

I guess it is possible but nobody would do it, people put GQ diffs under RRs because the RR ones are too weak.

Simply DON'T DO IT.

People put GQ diffs into range rovers because RR diffs and axles are weak and troublesome.

This same question has been posted by the same person in the Rover, Nissan and now Gen Tech areas. Can I hear the bus warming up?

Hi Dutchy74

It is a very great idea. You get smaller track width and you get smaller breaks.

But if you want to go serious, put a Toyota 80 gearbox in your GQ too.
And for the engine - use something from nissan - the 3.0 Diesel is a top motor and will fit perfect to your axles / gearbox combo.

But the best would be, just sale you Nissan GQ and buy a Lada Niva.
