please excuse me if i havnt searched enough or used the wrong terms, but i am looking at buying a rolled 88 model narrow track that sports a lowish km engine.
i know i cant use any? of the suspension components on my 96 wide track, but the engine and gearbox are the same yes? will my a/c compressor, power steering etc. bolt up to the earlier engine?
thanks.

I presume it's EFI?
If so, then I believe there aren't any major differences.
MightyMouse should be able to advise on this.

Rear axle assembly is different but centres interchange.
Chassis is different - later is belled out in front of firewall ( bad thing that's where they bend.... )
Front suspension / brakes ( variations ) are interchangable
Steering drag link is different
Engine is interchangable
Gearbox/Transfer interchanges.
Driveshafts are longer on widetrack, but actual CV's are identical and can be swapped to narrow track axles.
Body trim levels may be different but bits will swap as required.... eg power windows will fit into early doors etc etc.....
Guards and flares will swap over as will bumpers / tail lights.
All in all most bits will be useable if you need them.

cheers, nothing on the body is really useable as it was rolled. i was mainly after the engine and gearbox/transfer.
thanks.

Could someone just confirm for me that the changes from early to late models happened in 1992? which month qualifies as late? Also, I've seen reference to F300 and F300B, I assume the B is after these changes.
